Luhring Augustine is pleased to present Night of Music: The Long Last Day on Saturday, April 19th, from 6-8pm.
Held on the occasion of the final day of Spinoff, Olivia Erlanger’s solo exhibition in our Tribeca location, the event will feature a live performance by COTC NYC. Vocalist Lucia della Paolera, and musicians Gobby, Justine Lugli, Timothy Rusterholz, Esther Sibiude, and Tommy Martinez, will perform an intimate concert of “furniture music” alongside Erlanger's intricately crafted sculptures of uncanny, suspicious, quotidian conjured worlds. The performance will evoke a new atmospheric setting and references for the scale, material, and worlds of Erlanger’s work, engaging the audience in an effort to slow down time in the final hours of her show.
COTC NYC creates site-specific music performances. They have performed at diverse spaces including Roulette Intermedium, The Kitchen, The Panorama of the City of New York at the Queens Museum, Saint Peter's Church, and Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church. This performance is part of an ongoing project supported in part by Bronx Council on the Arts' Bronx Cultural Visions Fund.
This event is free, but RSVP is required. Click here to reserve tickets.
