Mohammed Sami and Rachel Whiteread in "The Shape of Things: Still Life in Britain"

Mohammed Sami and Rachel Whiteread are included in The Shape of Things: Still Life in Britain, a group exhibition on view at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester, England through October 20, 2024.

Featuring a range of Modern and Contemporary British artists, the exhibition digs into still life’s rich symbolism showing its importance to artists and society as a genre. The exhibition shifts from 17th-century ‘vanitas’ paintings to post-impressionism to abstraction and from pop to conceptual art. It invites viewers to think about life’s challenges, such as love and grief, identity and the subconscious, life and death and plenty and waste.
